Lord Jesus; come into my life today, and surprise me!
Come like a revolution
breaking all the moulds which set my soul ...
Come like a friend
bringing colour and warmth into my life ...
Come like a rhythm
setting life’s moods and motivating my spirit ...
Come like an honoured guest
radiating confidence and shining brightly ...
Come like a mystery gift
opening out into laughter, joy and radiant love ...
Come like child in the midst
accepting each other as a child of God ...
Come, Lord Jesus, and truly make my day!

Devotions - Wednesday 21st of December

O God, our Maker, Lord and Saviour; there are a thousand ways for us to tell You that we love You, a thousand ways for us to show You our obedience, and a thousand ways for us to live for You. Give us the courage and persistence to find the right words to say to You, the right things to do for You, and the right way to live according to Your will, right now, we pray.
AMEN

These suggestions are made to assist your prayers, and may be coloured by a general theme
General theme for the week: AID
1. For self
Each one of us will sometimes need the help of others, and we are somehow a little less human if we are not willing to receive help. Ask the Lord to give you the humility to receive help graciously when you need it.
2. For friends and family
Pray for those in your family who find it hard to receive the help others would wish to give, whether for reasons of pride or obstinacy.
3. For the church and its work
Pray for the church of God as congregations prepare for Christmas festivities. Pray that people of the church will be generous in their giving to charities over Christmas
4. For neighbourhood, country and world (the ‘news’)
Pray for the work of governments to give Aid to poorer countries of the world, to help them with things such as famine relief

Isaiah 25:1-12
In thios strange prophecy, we can see the elements of God’s eternal message of salvation; God’s conquering of death, His removal of every ‘disgrace’ and His victory over all evil. This message was forst given to ancient Israelites, but it can speak to us even now.
